LA CITTÀ VISIBILE. TORINO 1988-2012 – Il Circolo dei lettori e il Salone Internazionale del Libro insieme per raccontare la metropoli che cambia – 13 aprile ore 21 – Via Bogino 9, Torino.
25 anni fa nasceva a Torino il Salone Internazionale del Libro. Economia, urbanistiche, arte, cinema, musica… forse mai come in quest’ultimo quarto di secolo la città è stata protagonista di una metamorfosi epocale: straordinaria in tutti i campi. La stessa etichetta che Torino si è sempre cucita addosso volentieri – quella di «città-laboratorio» – oggi appare troppo scontata e ripetuta per non meritare un’opportuna verifica.
La Città Visibile è un ciclo di sette incontri-spettacolo in programma alle 21 al Circolo dei lettori. Due venerdì del mese, da febbraio ad aprile 2012. Un vero e proprio cammino di avvicinamento al 25° Salone. Ogni incontro metterà a confronto volti e voci del cambiamento.
Il 13 Aprile ore 21, si svolgerà il sesto incontro, che sarà dedicato all’ Architettura/Urbanistica.
Conduce Carlo Ratti, studio carlorattiassociati. Con Mario Botta, architetto; Benedetto Camerana, architetto, presidente Museo Nazionale dell’Auto; Augusto Cagnardi, urbanista e docente; Giuseppe Culicchia, scrittore; Angelo Miglietta, segretario Fondazione Crt; gli studi Negozio Blu, Marc, brh+.
Durante il dibattito in sala verranno proiettati delle video interviste che presenteranno al pubblico e agli ospiti il punto di vista sull’argomento di alcuni esponenti della scena artistica/artigianale e culturale torinese. Anche Simona Lodi, direttore artistico e fondatrice di Share Festival, parteciperà attraverso una video intervista in stile steampunk! Non perdetevi la serata!

THE VISIBLE CITY. TURIN 1988-2012 – The Circolo dei Lettori and the International Book Fair join together to tell the tale of a changing metropolis. 13th April, 9 PM – Via Bogino 9, Turin.
It was twenty-five years ago that the International Book Fair was first held in Turin. Perhaps never as in this last quarter of a century has Turin been at the forefront of epoch-making transformations in industry, urban planning, art, cinema and music, extraordinarily leading the way in all fields. The very label that the city of Turin has always adopted so willingly-that of the "city-testing ground"-has become too commonplace and trite to be left unquestioned.
The Visible City is a series of seven dates-held at 9 PM at the Circolo dei Lettori, two Fridays per month from February till April 2012-preparing the ground for this year’s 25th International Book Fair. Each event brings together the faces and voices of change.
On 13th April, at 9 PM, the sixth date of the series will focus on Architecture/Urban Planning.
Chaired by Carlo Ratti of the firm Carlo Ratti Associati, with guest speakers Mario Botta, architect; Benedetto Camerana, architect and chairman of the National Automobile Museum; Augusto Cagnardi, urban planner and lecturer; Giuseppe Culicchia, writer; and Angelo Miglietta, secretary of the Fondazione CRT; as well as the firms Negozio Blu, Marc and brh+.
During the debate, a series of video interviews will be screened, presenting to the audience and guest s the point of view of a number of people from Turin’s art, craft and cultural scenes. Simona Lodi, artistic director and founder of the Share Festival will also be featured in an interview in true steampunk style-so don’t miss out on the night!
